Process & Strategy

To help you get an idea of the website design process from beginning to end we’ve listed out the main steps. Keep in mind that each process is unique depending on your package, your design needs and well…you. We’ll work together to create the most positive interaction and get your website online seamlessly.

  • Step 1- Intro

    Within 72hrs of your application or purchase we’ll reach out to you for a free introduction call. This is a 30-45 minute call to chat about your site needs, contracts and a timeline.

  • Step 2- Prep

    We’ll review any current sites and branding you have while you prepare materials and copy for the site. This includes images, copy (text, blogs, etc.) and branding (logos, color palettes).

  • Step 3- Mock Up

    I’ll complete a mock up for you within 2-weeks of Step 1 which is a basic template to work with and get a feel of how your site will look. This is the perfect time for feedback and questions! Once a mockup is approved, changes results in additional contract reviews.

  • Step 4- Revisions

    During the next 2 weeks we’ll have two rounds of revisions & feedback. These will be 20-mins each. The build will be reviewed and this is the best time for you to provide any feedback for me to improve your site.

  • Step 5- Prepare for Launch

    We’ll finish up your website based on the feedback from Step 4 and make sure any third-party extensions are functioning properly. This is the perfect time.

  • Step 6- Finale

    Your site will be launched! We’ll have a 30-minute review session and training. This training will show you the basics on accessing the features of the Squarespace platform, accessing your billing panel and more. After launching, you’ll have unlimited revisions as a priority client for 30 days.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started before your site build:

  • If you don’t have branding, you can add this to your package during contract review. Currently, we offer basic logos and color palettes.

  • This is the words and text on your site. You’ll provide your website content and text. Most clients write this content themselves including blog content, email campaign content and more. Need some light editing done? We’ve got your back at no extra charge. For more detailed editing and content sourcing there is an additional charge.

  • You’ll provide all the images on your website. Your package may include stock images which will be selected by us during mockup. Brand photography is the best way to make your site stand out. However, as a new business this may not be in your budget. Check out some graphic resources here.
